This new product is their self portrait with an explanation of their "lima bean." I believe that this activity includes this certain level of Blooms' Taxonomy because the students have to combine information from the book and information from their own lives to generate a new product. Synthesis refers to thinking skills that tell you a student can originate, combine, and integrate parts of prior knowledge into a product, plan, or proposal that is new. The level of Blooms' Taxonomy addressed within this lesson is synthesis. This may be a bad case of zebra stripes, butterflies, etc. After completing this portion of the activity, the students will create a self portrait of themselves developing a bad case of something. ![]() This special something may cause them to be scared to show it because they are afraid that they will not fit in. The students will take the place of Camilla in the book and construct something that they love. With that, her love for lima beans disappears because she is too worried about what others think about her. The students have to be able to understand that Camilla wants more than anything to fit in with her friends.
